Pythagoras Greek School The Greek School, a must for every Greek Orthodox Parish, is the vehicle that creates the Greek identity in the minds and the souls of our children and therefore, it is important for the existence of the Greek Orthodox Church. The purpose of the Pythagoras Greek School is to promote the Greek Language, the Hellenic Culture and the Greek Orthodox Heritage. Our goal is to create a feeling of love for the Greek civilization and most importantly, to generate a sense of pride for our religion and heritage. Classes take place twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and range from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. The children are taught reading, writing and speaking Greek as well as religion, mythology, history. Each grade level has its own teacher to ensure that all students realize exceptional progress throughout the school year. Our teachers have many years of teaching experience in Greek parochial schools and are highly qualified to teach Greek as a second language. Pythagoras Greek School is recognized by the Department of Education of Greece. We also have a very
active and supportive Parent Teacher Organization
(PTO) that assists us with wonderful programs during Chirstmas,
Greek Independence Day and Graduation.
