Pythagoras Greek School

The Greek School, a must for every Greek Orthodox parish, is the vehicle that creates the Greek identity in the minds and the souls of our children and is important for the existence of the Greek Orthodox Church.

The purpose of the Pythagoras Greek School is to promote Greek language, the Hellenic culture and our Greek Orthodox Heritage. Our goal is to create a feeling of love for the Greek civilization and most importantly, to generate a sense of pride for our religion and heritage.

Classes range from pre-kindergarten through high school and take place twice weekly on
Mondays
and Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (only Mondays for high school).

Students are taught reading, writing and speaking Greek as well as religion, mythology, and history.
Each grade level has its own teacher to ensure that all students realize exceptional progress throughout the school year. Our teachers have many years of teaching experience in Greek parochial schools and are highly qualified to teach Greek as a second language. Pythagoras Greek School is recognized by the Department of Education of Greece.

We also offer special classes for those interested in attaining a Certificate in Greek Language
every Monday from 6:45 to 8:00 p.m.

We also have a very active and supportive Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) that assists us with wonderful programs during Chirstmas, Greek Independence Day and Graduation.

For more information on Pythagoras Greek School, please contact our School Principal,
Mrs. Christina Brales at (630) 834-7010.
