At Pythagoras
Children's Academy, we believe that parental influence is paramount
in a child's academic success. Along with our faculty and school board,
the parents of Pythagoras Children's Academy
strive to give students a strong academic foundation and positive social
environment that will last their entire life.
There
are many things you, as a parent, can do to help make school a terrific
experience for your children including:
• reading
aloud to your child each day
• reading your own books and magazines so your child sees you
• going to a public library, story time or reading club together
• making your child feel important at home
• talking with your child and truly listening to what he or she has
to say
• helping them understand that school is for learning and teachers
are there to help them
• playing games and working on puzzles together
• showing a true interest in school, homework assignments and activities
at school
• being patient! They are children, after all.
Our parents
organization, the Pythagoras
Parents Organization (PPO) is an excellent way for you to participate
in your child's education. Our PPO is a vibrant, active team of moms,
dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles who come together to raise awareness
and funds for our school, donate time and participate in school activities.
